Gary Cattell, also known as the Willard Preacher, has made his mark on Penn State students preaching the gospel as an orthodox Christian outside the Willard Building on the Penn State campus.

Most students only know him as the man in the red sweatshirt on the steps of Willard.

Cattell earns his living through donations and his wife's work as a substitute teacher. He has four grown children and lives with his wife a few miles outside of State College.

As a student-athlete at The Pennsylvania State University, I have been molded into a passionate, determined individual with an outstanding work ethic. I am an active member of Penn State’s varsity track and field team, as I pole vault competitively in the Big Ten conference. My studies are of most importance to me because I have a strong desire to succeed in the area of public relations. I am backing up my major with minors in psychology and entrepreneurship. My love and care for this field enables me to complete any project or task that is handed to me in a professional way and timely manner.
