‘Ukraine is Evil’ Debate Coming to Penn State
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – BlazeTV host Elijah Schaffer and political livestreamer Steven “Destiny” Bonnell are coming to Penn State April 27 at 7 p.m. The event is sponsored by Uncensored America, a “not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting for freedom of speech.”
Room 101’s doors in the Thomas Building will open at 6:30.
The organization recently held an event for Milo Yiannapolous, the ‘pray the gay away’ speaker, in November 2021 that caused tension between Penn State students and citizens of State College.
Russia invaded Ukraine in late February. The Russian military has destroyed most of Ukraine and has caused over 4 million people to flee the country. Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded because he claims Ukraine has been a constant threat. Putin told the people of Russia that he needs to “demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has had several peace negotiations with Putin, yet no progress has been made. Ukraine is not part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and is having a hard time receiving help. Zelensky has accepted that Ukraine will not be part of NATO and they will move forward with what they got.
Schaffer and Bonnell will allow a Q&A after the debate. For more information, click here.
