Winkler provides care as LifeLink EMT

Tom Winkler isn't just a full time student; he holds two jobs - one of them is treating people as an EMT for Centre LifeLink. 

Although he says he may not get as much sleep as he should, he's able to manage the rigors of schoolwork during downtime at the Centre LifeLink station in State College. Winkler was a volunteer firefighter back home, and enjoys the unpredictability of his job. The best part of working for LifeLink, according to Winkler, is the camaraderie between EMTs and the relationships he's developed in the emergency response field.

I am a senior Broadcast Journalism major at Penn State University planning to graduate in May 2013. I am pursuing a career as a television producer in sports or news. I have interned with Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in Bethesda, Maryland and the sports department at NBC 4 WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.
