Haley Casperson is in her junior year of college at Penn State. Outside of school and work, she spends as much time as she can focusing on her music. Casperson is the director for Penn State’s Blue in the FACE, a campus acapella group, and plays first chair oboe in Penn State’s Symphonic Band.

Despite the time commitments required by the music groups she is a part of, she says that she finds the experience both rewarding and exciting. Haley has been interested in music since she was a child. She has been singing for as long as she can remember and picked up the oboe when she was nine years old. She had a passion for music that started when she was young and has found new life in college. Casperson views her music as both a form of self-expression and measurement of her growth in life.
