Penn State senior and music performance major Noah Mikhail McDonald is a talented beat-boxer. McDonald is also classically trained in the tuba and bass tuba and has been learning to play the bass guitar. McDonald first became aware of beat-boxing when he heard his older brother doing it while he played video games, he started imitating his beats until he developed his own skills. He uses beat-boxing as a relaxation method and finds it to be a sort of compulsion in his daily life. He likes to beat-box everywhere, especially while walking because it serves as a metronome for his beats.
