Cornerback Omari Gaines commits to Penn State

Penn State added to its 2025 class on Tuesday morning.

Defensive back Omari Gaines announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions marking their second commitment.

Gaines was offered by the blue and white in 2022 and committed after visiting campus this past weekend. He also made the trip to Happy Valley in early junior for Penn State’s junior day.

The Sparta, New Jersey, native stands at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, and offers great length as a defensive back.

The Nittany Lions' first two commitments hail from the Garden State as Gaines joins 4-star offensive lineman Jaelyne Matthews.
