Masks, Racism, and COVID 19: For Asians in the U.S. they’re all related
Asians in America say they have been the subjects of racially-motivated attacks since the outbreak of COVID-19.
In normally peaceful State College, Joanna Kuo, Celeste Wang , Alicia Chiang and Skye Chang all said they felt uncomfortable and singled out because of the masks they wear, although none of them have been physically assaulted.
Asians have stood out less since April 18, when Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf decreed that everyone in the state must have a mask in public.
