Fort Myers, Florida has been one of the homes of MLB Spring Training for over two decades now. The relationship between Fort Myers residents and one of the city's springtime MLB partners hit a speed bump when the organization made a stadium switch.

Matthew Trabold is a senior from Rochester, NY majoring in broadcast journalism with a sports emphasis through the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism and minoring in business. The sport Trabold has a passion for the most is men’s college basketball, causing him to devote a portion of every single day to following it meticulously. Trabold hopes to someday become an analyst or announcer for men’s college basketball on a national stage.
