Happy Valley Special Hockey
A local hockey team seeks to motivate individuals who have developmental and physical disabilities to participate in the sport of hockey. Alissa Devine and Alyssa Cichy take you on the ice to show you how this team removes barriers and brings awareness to a special cause.

Alissa Devine
Sophomore / Broadcast Journalism
Alissa Devine is a senior from Fairfield, New Jersey, majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor is business liberal arts. She is involved with play by play and beat writing for several Penn State sports, especially hockey. She is also a member of the talk show, The Sin Bin for Com Radio. Alissa’s love for sports and hockey has driven her to pursue a career in sports broadcasting.
Alyssa Cichy
Senior / Broadcast Journalism
Alyssa Cichy is a senior broadcast journalism major and deaf & hearing studies minor from Asbury Park, NJ. She currently serves as a videographer for Valley Magazine and a producer for Centre County Report in Israel. She was a news anchor, reporter and producer for Centre County Report and a live video production intern for Penn State Athletics in the Fall. Last summer, she had the opportunity to work for truTV’s hit show Impractical Jokers as a production intern. She looks forward to gaining more hands-on experience and hopes to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
