Journalism Students offer Insights on Covid-19 to their Younger Selves
As of the first week of March, the advanced multimedia class was ready to enjoy their spring break. When the students departed the campus to go home to their families or visit a warm, sunny locale, they envisioned soon returning to Penn State to continue producing multimedia stories and interviewing subjects in person.
However, the COVID-19 pandemic has led the university converting to remote instruction for the remainder of the spring semester, leaving the class to craft stories from their homes. Students of COMM 481 each recorded a message to their younger offering advice about the coronavirus. They spoke about what they know about COVID-19, and how they have adjusted to social distancing and being separated from their classmates.
COMM 481 students featured include Justin Lange, Amanda Thieu, Caitlin Lee, Lillian Swartzell, Brynn Laurash, and Paige Hooven.
