Ken’s Best Wurst

Video posted May 5, 2015 in

Ken's Best Wurst is a popular late-night stop for Penn State students seeking munchies and good conversation.

Ken Baumgarten, of Philipsburg, runs the late night hot dog and sausage stand in downtown State College on weekend nights. A night out at Penn State is never truly complete until a visit is paid to Ken's Best Wurst.

A true family man, Baumgarten has endured a long and winding road before ending up under his signature red umbrella in a parking lot in Downtown State College.

Senior / Broadcast Journalism

My name is Jack Tumen. I’m from Woodstock, New York and am a fourth-year Broadcast Journalism major at Penn States’ College of Communications. I’m involved with the Lion 90.7 FM radio station where I host a daily sports talk show, The Sports Blitz, and I also call the play-by-play of Penn State Football and Men’s Basketball. In addition, I maintain my own sports blog called Jacked Up Sports. I hope to become an NFL radio or television play-by-play announcer in the future.
