Movin’ On 2022 Lineup Reaction

Story posted March 31, 2022 in

Penn State recently announced the new line-up for the upcoming Movin’ On. Evan Smith and Sophia D’Ovidio take a look at two of the upcoming artists.

Jack Harlow

At first glance, it was stunning to see Jack Harlow as the headliner for a free student concert event. However, looking back at some of the amazing performers the show has had in the past, makes the selection a testament to the students who put together this event, rather than a surprise.

Jack Harlow is at the height of his fame currently. Since his song “What’s Poppin’” became a hit, he has repeatedly gone more viral through singles, features and social media trends.

In the past few years, Harlow has worked with artists such as Eminem, Lil Nas X and Lil Wayne.

Harlow has become a massive star already, and is actively searching to increase his fame. He is consistently releasing new music while also taking part in outside collaborations such as his upcoming KFC meal. - Evan Smith

Aminé

Rapper and singer Aminé is definitely a welcome and exciting addition to the Movin’ On lineup.

Coming into the mainstream in 2016 with his hit “Caroline,” Aminé has an abundance of lively rap and R&B songs perfect for the festival.

Aminé has plenty of fun and well-known songs; his setlist will likely compile songs even people who aren’t his fans will know. Along with the aforementioned “Caroline,” other hits include “Heebejeebes,” “Wedding Crashers,” “REEL IT IN” and “Charmander.”

Along with exciting potential line-ups, Aminé is an exceptional live performer. He plays off the energy of his crowd and always brings enthusiasm and liveliness into his performances.

Aminé was a great grab for the Movin’ On festival. Even for people who may be unfamiliar with the artist, his set will not be one anyone should miss. - Sophia D’Ovidio
