NFL Betting: Week 6

Story posted October 16, 2021 in

As the NFL heads into Week 6, the first five weeks have not disappointed. Some teams have played great football and some teams have still not found a grove.

For Week 6, I will highlight five picks that I like, and hopefully go 5-0.

Chiefs vs. Washington Football Team

The Chiefs will be going into Washington looking for a redemption game.

The Chiefs have gotten off to a rocky start, but knowing what the Chiefs are capable of, they will not lose this game. Patrick Mahomes is coming off a two interception loss, therefore he is going to come out strong and keep the pressure on Washington.

The current line of the game is Chiefs -7.5. With Mahomes coming off of a bad game mixed with the Chiefs' rough start, this is the time for the Chiefs to turn their season around.

The pick: Chiefs -7.5

Chargers vs. Ravens

The Chargers will be playing the Ravens this week in a battle between two 4-1 teams. These teams are two of the frontrunners in the AFC, and will battle it out in Week 6.

The current line of the game has the Chargers +2.5. Justin Herbert is having an MVP caliber season and will continue to prove himself against the best this week when he takes down Lamar Jackson.

Taking the Chargers even if they were favored with points wouldn’t be a bad pick. Therefore, shove the 2.5 points, and the Chargers moneyline is a great pick to make a profitable bet.

The pick: Chargers moneyline

Bengals vs. Lions

The Bengals will face off against the winless Lions in Week 6. The Bengals have looked fantastic so far this year.

The Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase combination has been incredible. They picked up from where they had left off at LSU and seem to be the future of the Bengals.

The current line of the game has the Bengals -3.5, which is a great line. The Bengals will have a commanding lead over the Lions early and they may try to make a statement versus a winless team. Therefore, take the Bengals this week.

If the Bengals can make a statement, they can be real contenders in the AFC.

The pick: Bengals -3.5

Seahawks vs. Steelers

The Seahawks will be playing in Pittsburgh versus the Steelers in Week 6. The current line of the game has the Steelers -4.5. Neither team looks promising this season.

The Steelers just lost JuJu Smith-Schuster for the rest of the year with a shoulder injury and big Ben Roethlisberger has not looked good at all this year. This may be Roethlisberger’s last year before retirement because his best days are in the past.

With this being said, the only bright spot the Seahawks have consistently had this year has been DK Metcalf and Russell Wilson. Wilson will not be playing in Week 6, and due to that, the Steelers can escape Week 6 with a win.

The spread isn’t favorable, so lean towards the Steelers moneyline against the Seahawks being led by backup quarterback, Geno Smith.

The pick: Steelers moneyline.

Bills vs. Titans

The Bills will be facing off against the Titans in Week 6 on Monday Night Football, and both teams have been playing so far this season.

Buffalo has been playing great football on both ends, but especially the offensive side. The Bills have been finding the end zone with ease, and don’t look to be stopping anytime soon.

The Titans have also played good football. Derrick Henry is the best running back in football this year and has been a problem for opposing teams on the ground.

Both teams have what it takes to come out Monday with a win but only one team will. The current line has the Titans +6.

This is going to be one of those games that comes down to a field goal. If this is the case, having +6 for one side is the side you have to take. Therefore, the Titans with the points this week is your best bet.

Derrick Henry will be the key factor for this line to hit. If Henry can enter beast mode early, the Titans will be in good shape +6 points.

The pick: Titans +6
