Going into Week 7, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans were the only undefeated teams remaining. Now, the Steelers are the only remaining undefeated team after snapping Tennessee’s winning streak and Seattle’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

In the abhorrent NFC East, Carson Wentz led the Philadelphia Eagles to a comeback win against the New York Giants on Thursday night. While Wentz’s heroics were impressive, the Eagles are still struggling to remain healthy but will attempt to beat an atrocious Dallas Cowboys next game.

Speaking of the Cowboys, Dallas lost to the Washington Football Team 25-3. This loss was another disappointing performance from one of the most hyped teams going into this season, and Mike McCarthy could be fired by their bye week in Week 10.

Sticking within the NFC, the Detroit Lions rolled into Atlanta to face a Falcons team desperately attempting to save its season, but the story remained the same for the Falcons in this one. Down by two points in the final two minutes, Todd Gurley scored instead of taking a knee, which gave Matthew Stafford an opportunity to drive down the field and score to steal another win.

As for two of the top contenders within the NFC, the Green Bay Packers and the aforementioned Seahawks finished with opposite results. Aaron Rodgers handled business against the Houston Texans by throwing for 283 yards and four touchdowns as the Packers beat the Texans to bring their record to 5-1.

On Sunday night, Seattle lost to the Cardinals in overtime, as Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray posted 427 total yards and threw three touchdowns.

In two returns to their former teams, Jimmy Garoppolo led the San Francisco 49ers into Foxborough to beat Bill Belichick and the Patriots, while Teddy Bridgewater faced the New Orleans Saints.

Although Garoppolo struggled, Jeff Wilson Jr. carried the 49ers with 112 yards and three touchdowns, pounding the Patriots into submission and winning by a final score of 33-6.

In New Orleans, Bridgewater’s return wasn’t as successful, but it was a sign of hope for Panthers fans. Bridgewater passed for 254 yards and two touchdowns in a three-point loss to the Saints. Although the result was disappointing, Bridgewater looks like the right quarterback for a rebuilding Panthers squad.

Switching to the AFC, the Chiefs routed the Denver Broncos, despite Patrick Mahomes throwing for only 200 yards and a touchdown in a relatively quiet performance. The Chiefs proved that they’re more than just Mahomes by forcing multiple turnovers and scoring on special teams.

In the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills nudged by the New York Jets by a final score of 18-10. Despite the win, the Bills looked sloppy. They clearly need a stable running game behind quarterback Josh Allen if they want to make a deep run this season.

Meanwhile, the Battle of Ohio between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals went down to the wire. Baker Mayfield was fantastic down the stretch, delivering a pinpoint touchdown pass with 11 seconds left to win.

The Raiders hosted their toughest test in a surging Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, which is looking like an early Super Bowl favorite in the NFC. Tom Brady looked fantastic in this game, throwing 369 yards and four touchdowns. Next week, he gets Antonio Brown back from suspension, so the league must watch out.

Out west, Justin Herbert earned his first win as quarterback of the Los Angeles Chargers by throwing for 347 yards and three touchdowns against the atrocious Jacksonville Jaguars to win by a final score of 39-29.

Finally, the Los Angeles Rams shut down the Chicago Bears on Monday night in a 24-10 win, as Nick Foles struggled to muster any offense for Chicago.
