Penn State will be without one of its top receivers for the 2023 season.

Parker Washington announced that he will be declaring for the upcoming NFL Draft after three seasons as a Nittany Lion.

Washington now joins cornerback Joey Porter Jr. as Penn Staters to forgo the remainder of their eligibility.

The Sugar Land, Texas native missed the last two games of this season due to an injury and wouldn’t have been available for the upcoming Rose Bowl.

Washington was still able to finish the season with 46 receptions for 611 yards with two touchdowns.

The sophomore receiver had one of the best games of his career this season against Ohio State where he posted 11 receptions with 179 yards and a touchdown.

Washington had been projected as a late round pick on most boards.

This leaves the Nittany Lions with a receiving room of KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Harrison Wallace III and Kaden Saunders as some of the top weapons for next season.

Washington recorded a catch in every game he played in during his career and finished with 146 receptions for 1,920 yards with 12 touchdowns.

He ranks tenth all time for receptions in program history.
