Penn State announces four kickoff times for 2023 season

94 days away from the season home opener, Penn State football and the Big Ten conference designate four new kickoff times for the 2023 season.

The announcement made on Wednesday includes four-time changes and three network designations for Delaware, Illinois, UMass, Michigan and Iowa.

With the changes to the new year, Penn State now has seven of its 12 games for the 2023 season slotted in.

The first of the seven games include the season opener, already announced earlier in the month to be against West Virginia on NBC at 7:30 p.m.

Following the season's first game, the blue and white will stay in Beaver Stadium to face Delaware on Sept. 9 at 3:30 p.m. on Peacock. This is the first time Peacock will cover a Penn State game after it signed a seven-year deal with the Big Ten on Aug. 18, 2022.

The Nittany Lions hit the road for their first Big Ten game in week three against Illinois. The conference showdown will be broadcasted on Sept. 16 on FOX’s Big Noon kickoff.

One of the greatest atmospheres in college football is set for Sept. 23 on CBS against Iowa. The White Out was originally scheduled for 8 p.m. but has since been moved to 7:30 p.m.

UMass is then set to travel to State College to face Penn State on Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m. While the time has been set, no network has been assigned to the game as of Wednesday afternoon.

Penn State meets Michigan in Beaver Stadium for the Nittany Lion's second-to-last home game of the regular season. FOX’s Big Ten Noon Kickoff has taken responsibility for the coverage on Nov. 11, making this the second Penn State game FOX will cover this season.

To cap it all off, Michigan State and Penn State are headed to Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, for the final regular season game. Coverage will start at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 24 on NBC.

With just five games remaining on the schedule that hasn’t been assigned times or networks, Penn State football is gearing up for the 2023 campaign with training camp underway in August.
