3-star safety Conrad Hussey commits to Penn State Football

Days after three-star edge rusher Jameial Lyons announced his commitment to Penn State, James Franklin wasted no time adding to his 2023 recruiting class.

Three-star safety Conrad Hussey announced his commitment to join the blue and white via Twitter on Monday.

Hussey is the 11th player to take his talents to Happy Valley and the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native is excited to join the program.

“With God’s guidance and the love and support of my family, I have decided to commit to Penn State,” Hussey said. “I’m coming home Happy Valley.”

St. Thomas Aquinas product stands at 6-foot and 190 pounds and will look to make an immediate impact when he gets on campus.

Hussey is ranked the No. 44 safety in the class of 2023 and the No. 85 player from Florida, according to 247sports.

Hussey had 18 offers from programs such as Florida, Florida State and Indiana.

His commitment came at a surprising time as he only took one unofficial visit to Happy Valley back on April 9.

Hussey marks the second commit in the secondary joining fellow three-star Lamont Payne.

Penn State currently sits with the No. 4 recruiting class in the nation and atop the conference with one five-star, three four-stars and seven three-stars.
