Nyeem Wartman is a 23-year-old Penn State student-athlete from Philadelphia.  He grew up in a tough area and his family decided to move to Scranton, PA to give themselves a better opportunity.

Growing up with nine brothers and sisters was tough for Wartman but he turned to sports as a coping mechanism. He learned of his athletic talents through basketball and then translated it to the football field where he became an all-American in high school.

That led to him going to Penn State on a football scholarship and then playing as a true freshman until injuries took a toll freshman year. Following a stellar sophomore campaign, Wartman had two back to back ACL tears on both knees. Wartman continues to pursue his childhood dream of playing in the NFL.
