After four years wearing the blue and white, Penn State senior captain Alex Limoges has earned a professional tryout with the San Diego Gulls, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.

Coming to Penn State by way of the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL, Limoges made his impact virtually as soon as he stepped on the ice during the 2017-2018 season, scoring seven goals and adding 14 assists for 21 points.

His sophomore season was a memorable one as he set program records for points and goals with 50 and 23 respectively.

He also garnered recognition as a member of the Big Ten All-Tournament team in addition to being named a Hobey Baker Award nominee and Team MVP, earning a spot on the All-CHN First Team.

The 2019-2020 season saw Limoges play an integral role in leading the Nittany Lions to the Big Ten regular season championship. He scored 32 points with 11 goals and 21 assists and earned an All-Big Ten honorable mention selection.

His final season as a Nittany Lion ended in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals, but Limoges still finished with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points and was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection for the second time.

Limoges will finish his Penn State career having skated in 128 games with 51 goals, 74 assists and 125 total points, which will put him third in program history for points, tied for third in goals and in fourth for assists.
