Former Penn State Blue Sapphire PJ Maierhofer is now passing down her baton twirling talents to the next generation. And still learning about the business of batons from her biggest fan, her coach and most importantly her mom.

Senior / Broadcast Journalism and Political Science

Dorey Scheimer is a senior broadcast journalism and political science major who has been active in ComMedia since her freshman year. She was a part of the sports and news departments at ComRadio and acted as the social director through her junior year. She has also had numerous internships in the industry. Dorey was an intern locally with the Centre Daily Times, B94.5 in State College, and WJAC-TV in Johnstown. Dorey also worked as a production assistant for American Idol while the show was filming season 11 in Pittsbugh, Pa. Most recently, Dorey spent the fall 2011 semester with the Penn State Washington Program interning with Cox Television’s Washington news bureau.
