Week 13 of the NFL season has a boat load of premier matchups.

We are officially in the stretch run. Now in December, the playoffs are right around the corner. This is usually the time the top flight teams separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

Week 13 offers a ton of games that will impact the playoff race. The AFC is a crowded field, with five teams fighting for the three wild card spots. After Sunday, we could be looking at a totally different playoff field.

Dolphins at 49ers (49ers -4)

My Pick: 49ers-4

The Miami Dolphins are playing great football under first year coach Mike McDaniel.  McDaniel has Tua playing like an MVP candidate in his third season.

Tagovailoa alongside Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill lead a dynamic passing game. I’m worried whether or not the 49ers have the athletes on the outside to keep up with these two speedsters.

However, the 49ers are my pick to go to the Super Bowl. Kyle Shanahan is a top-10 coach in football, and the Chrisitan McCaffery trade completely revitalized the offense. Shanahan has always depended on his running game, and now he finally has a top-tier running back.

I think both teams will be able to score at will, but I think Week 13 is when the 49ers finally hit their stride and separate themselves from the rest of the teams in the NFC West.

Chiefs at Bengals (Chiefs -2)

My Pick: Chiefs -2

I love the favorites this weekend. In a rematch of last year's AFC Championship game, I expect the Chiefs to be highly motivated.

The Bengals’ number one wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is questionable for Sunday’s contest. Tee Higgins has done a nice job filling in, but the Bengals will need every weapon to keep up with the Chiefs’ high powered offense.

The Chiefs are my pick to go to the Super Bowl on the AFC side. They haven’t missed a beat after losing Hill in the offseason.

Jets at Vikings (Vikings -3)

My Pick: Vikings -3

Week 12, the Jets were able to get back to their winning ways. After a soul-crushing loss to the Patriots, Mike White came in for the benched Zach Wilson.

Mike White against a bruised Bear’s defense looked impressive throwing for 315 yards and three touchdowns.  However, the Vikings are different animals. I think White will come back to Earth this week, especially with Michael Carter questionable to play.

I don’t know how long this run will last for Kirk Cousins, but he is playing at an MVP level right now. The marquee matchup to watch out for is Justin Jefferson versus Sauce Gardner. Gardner is the leading candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The Jets’ talented secondary will have to find a way to stop the Vikings passing attack that is predicated on play action pass. What makes this Minnesota team so good is the fact that they are so balanced, and can run the ball well with Dalvin Cook.
