Penn State in the NFL: Week 12

This week was a great week for the former Nittany Lions, especially on the defensive side. We saw forced fumbles, sacks, quarterback hits, tackles and game-changing plays for their respective teams.

Raiders (36) at Cowboys (33)

Micah Parsons continues his dominant rookie campaign recording five total tackles in the loss to the Raiders, including two for loss and a sack.

Connor McGovern after taking over left guard for teammate Connor Williams last week has played almost every offensive snap.

Nick Bowers remains on IR with a neck injury for the Raiders.

Carl Nassib suffered a knee injury early in the game and is listed as day-to-day.

Rams (28) at Packers (36)

Adrian Amos recorded four solo tackles that included a fourth-down stop early in the game where he met the Rams’ Darrel Henderson at the gap short of the line to gain.

Nick Scott came away with five total tackles and defended one pass for Los Angeles.

Browns (10) at Ravens (16)

Odafe Oweh had himself a night with two tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and recovery. On a night where the offense struggled Oweh’s contribution gave the Ravens good field position all game.

Eagles (7) at Giants (13)

Saquon Barkley rushed 14 times for 40 yards while catching four passes out of the backfield. Barkley has recorded four or more catches in four of his seven games played this year.

Cam Brown played 15 snaps on special teams and assisted on a tackle for the Giants.

Austin Johnson put pressure on Jalen Hurts as he recorded a half a sack and a quarterback hit along with four tackles.

Miles Sanders carried the ball nine times for a total of 64 yards.

Bengals (41) at Steelers (10)

Another one-handed grab by Pat Freiermuth put him in the touchdown column. This touchdown catch was one of his four catches on the day.

Panthers (10) at Dolphins (33)

Starting every game this season, DaQuan Jones totaled 5 total tackles for the Panthers alongside Yatur Gross-Matos who had 2 himself for the Panthers.

A quiet day for the Dolphins’ Mike Gesicki as he hauled in three catches for 17 yards.

Bills (31) at Saints (6)

The Saints’ offense lacked which left Juwan Johnson with no targets but gave Blake Gillikin five opportunities to punt with 47 yards per punt.

Bears (16) at Lions (14)

Amani Oruwariye defended two passes and came down with an interception thrown by Andy Dalton.

Chicago’s Jesse James had only one target but made the most of the 25% percent of special teams snaps instead. Allen Robinson was inactive for the game with an injury.

Jason Cabinda recorded a tackle.

Broncos (28) at Chargers (13)

KJ Hamler is still on IR with a knee injury but was seen walking around the facility without crutches.
DaeSean Hamilton remains on IR.

Buccaneers (38) at Colts (31)

Donavan Smith played 100% of the offensive snaps and made lanes for teammate Leonard Fournette to have a stellar day.

Chris Godwin came down with four catches for 24 yards and had a carry for three yards.

Will Fries remains on the practice squad and Robert Windsor remains on IR for the Colts.

Vikings (26) at 49ers (34)

Kevin Givens had two tackles and Robbie Gould was 2-3 on field goals and hit all four extra-point tries for the 49ers.
Dan Chisena played 64% of special teams snaps for the Vikings.

Seahawks (15) at Football Team (17)

Shaka Toney had two tackles, a quarterback hit, and his first career sack in the thrilling win against the Seahawks. Troy Apke played 79% of special teams snaps while John Reid played 9 snaps.

Alumni Transaction:

Trace McSorley was signed off the Baltimore Ravens practice squad by the Arizona Cardinals. He will back up Colt McCoy on the depth chart as McCoy has been filling in for Kyler Murray who has been dealing with an ankle injury the past few weeks.
