Penn State lands former Mississippi State cornerback Audavion Collins

Penn State bolstered its cornerback room on Tuesday afternoon.

Former Mississippi State cornerback Audavion Collins took to Instagram to announce his commitment to the Nittany Lions.

Collins was a three-star cornerback out of Newton High School during the 2022 recruiting cycle but didn’t crack the field in his lone season with the Bulldogs.

The 6-foot, 165-pound Georgia native with four years of eligibility remaining received an offer from Penn State earlier this month and took a visit to campus on Monday before committing.

Penn State needed depth at cornerback after Storm Duck, who had transferred from North Carolina in December, transferred to Louisville following the Blue-White game.

Collins fills that need for the blue and white as he joins a cornerback room that includes Kalen King and Johnny Dixon among others.
