Penn State was dealt a major loss on Monday morning.

The reigning CHA Player of the Year, Kiara Zanon, has entered the transfer portal, per the Rink Live.

Zanon recorded 26 goals and 23 assists this past campaign while being named to the 2022-23 All-USCHO third team and All-CHA First Team.

During the 2022-23 season, she became the fastest Nittany Lion in program history to reach 100 career points, and she broke the program's single-season goal and point records.

The Fairpoint, New York, native came to Happy Valley during the 2020-21 campaign and made an immediate impact as a freshman.

She tallied 30 points in 21 games, becoming the first Penn State player to win a national award as she captured the AHCA National Rookie of the Year.

Zanon was named to the All-CHA First Team every campaign she was in Happy Valley.

In her three seasons donning the blue and white, she posted 118 points in 92 games and was one of the main reasons the Nittany Lions won their first-ever CHA title this past year.
