The Final Routine of Nihir Kothari

Story/Video posted April 25, 2013 in Sports by Sallie Sharer

Nihir Kothari was a red-shirt senior training for his final season as a Nittany Lion when he tore his ACL on a dismount in practice. Nihir's big dreams for this season shattered. He did not give up, however, and trained every day in hopes that he would be healthy enough to stick a dismount in one routine in the NCAA Championships. It was six months of surgeries, rehab, and training all for 30 seconds on the still rings one last time in Rec Hall.
