Tom Kleban was in the midst of his college career at Penn State when his life took a turn. As a decathlete for the track and field team and an avid business student, Kleban had his life set up for ease and success. On a nice summer evening, Kleban's life would take a sharp turn as he would never walk again.

After a paralyzing tragedy, Kleban was left with two things that he had learned his entire life: positivity and determination. Not once after his accident did he look back, but rather, he pushed forward and that has brought him to where he is today. Kleban is a financial analyst for Vantage Investment Advisors where he spends a lot of his time. In his spare time, he coaches the hurdles for the State College High School track and field team. Kleban has a helper who aids him in getting around on a day-to-day basis and assists him in tasks such as eating.

Kleban lives at home with his parents who have cared for him ever since the accident. They reside in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, just a few miles past State College.
