After gaining commitments from four-star edge rusher Joseph Mupoyi and three-star edge rusher Mason Robinson on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, Penn State capped off a hectic week with a bang.

Four-star linebacker Kaveion Keys announced his decision to join the blue and white early Friday morning. Keys was formerly committed to North Carolina, but he decommitted on Dec. 8.

Keys took an official visit with the Nittany Lions in late June before committing to the Tar Heels, but he visited for the White Out.

The Richmond, Virginia, native is the No. 4 ranked player in Virginia and the 21st-ranked linebacker in the class, according to 247sports.

Keys is the sixth player from Virginia in Penn State’s 2023 class, joining Alex Birchmeier, Tony Rojas, Carmelo Taylor, Mathias Barnwell and Anthony Donkoh.

He's the No. 22 player in the Nittany Lions class and the third linebacker pairing up with Rojas and Ta’mere Robinson.

The Nittany Lions class ranks just outside the top ten, less than a week away from National Signing Day.
