It’s Week Four of the XFL Regular Season. Let's bounce around the league to see how it all went down.
Houston Roughnecks 44, Orlando Guardians 16
The Houston Roughnecks (4-0) remained perfect as they took down the Orlando Guardians (0-4), 44-16. The Roughnecks have proved they can run the table while putting up an early 20-0 lead in the first quarter.
The game was out of reach for Paxton Lynch and the Guardians, as they struggled to get within striking distance.
Lynch threw 267 passing yards and two touchdowns but it was not enough to pick up their first victory. As for the Roughnecks, Quarterback Brandon Silvers went 24/30 on 239 yards with three touchdowns en route to the win.
Running back Dajoun Lee and Wide receiver Travell Harris had two touchdowns each.
Seattle Sea Dragons 15, San Antonino Brahmas 6
The Seattle Sea Dragons, led by Ben DiNucci, now sit at .500 (2-2) with a 15-6 win against the San Antonio Brahmas (1-3). DiNucci had been playing like a veteran in the league, leading his team to victory.
In a very low-scoring matchup, offenses were not clicking as DiNucci only completed 28 of 42 passes while Brahmas gun-slinger Jack Coan went 20 for 39.
Sea Dragons wideout Jahcour Pearson led the game in receiving yards with 76 on eight receptions.
St Louis Battlehawks 24, Arlington Renegades 11
Football is back in St. Louis. The Battlehawks pick up a much-needed win in front of the sold-out home crowd as they jump up the rankings to 3-1.
Passer AJ McCarron did everything an offensive coach could ask for. McCarron lit up on the field with two touchdowns and iced the game with a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to send Arlington back home.
The Battlehawks were efficient on both sides of the ball while taking away three interceptions against Arlington Renegades (2-2) quarterback Kyle Sloter. The Renegades moved to (2-2) on the season.
D.C. Defenders 32, Vegas Vipers 18
Washington sits tied for first in the standings, what a surprise!
The D.C. Defenders sit pretty at the top at 4-0 after a dominating win against the Vegas Vipers (0-4), 32-18.
The Defenders did damage on the ground to capture the win. The team carried a total of 173 yards and two touchdowns. D’Eriq King pushed the team to victory with two touchdowns of his own.
As for the Vipers, Luis Perez connected on 283 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Jeff Badet led the team with eight receptions for 80 yards.
