Week 7 of the college football season brings a healthy amount of ranked matchups, and while college football is not easy to predict by any means, there may be outcomes that ultimately shake up the rankings for next week.

It will be hard to keep a close eye on all of these contests, but Vegas has everything set straight and the anticipation lingers.

With a chance of seeing some great action, with it comes the chance to win some money. Here are four of my best picks for this weekend’s showdowns.

No. 10 Penn State @ No. 5 Michigan (Penn State +7)

A Big Ten matchup with big implications, the Nittany Lions will storm into Ann Arbor as 7-point underdogs.

Michigan has struggled so far against Big Ten opponents, barely escaping three conference foes in Maryland, Iowa, and Indiana in as many weeks. Their margins of victory have not been impressive, and the offense just seems to always come alive late.

The Wolverines return home to the Big House in front of a maized-out crowd, and are looking to keep their spot in the top 5.

It’s worth noting that Penn State has always been good against the spread, and this game has the makings of being a low-scoring affair.

It’s hard to predict who exactly will emerge victorious, but it’ll be real close.

The pick: Penn State +7

No. 3 Alabama @ No. 6 Tennessee (Tennessee +7)

A huge SEC matchup featuring two top-ten teams, the Crimson Tide are tightly favored over the Volunteers on the road.

There is speculation surrounding whether Alabama quarterback Bryce Young will play, but Alabama is as battle-tested as they come after mustering close wins against Texas and Texas A&M.

The Volunteers’ strength of schedule is not even close to Alabama, but they came out of the bye-week and steamrolled then-ranked LSU in Death Valley.

The point spread is real close, but I believe Alabama will dissect the Tennessee defense and have a field day in Knoxville.

The pick: Alabama ML

No. 15 North Carolina State @ No. 18 Syracuse (Syracuse -3.5)

It’s been a long time since we have seen Syracuse in the top-25 rankings, but they have a chance to make a serious case this weekend as they host the Wolf Pack of NC State this Saturday in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse isn’t necessarily a football school, but the Orange have gotten pretty impressive wins over schools like Purdue and Virginia.

NC State, on the other hand, has taken down Florida State and Texas Tech, and narrowly fell on the road at Clemson, 30-20.

The two best defenses in the ACC will be on display, so points will be at a minimum.

With Syracuse averaging 38.4 points per game and NC State averaging 30.5, this is another matchup that will remain close, and whoever wins the turnover battle will walk away victorious.

The pick: NC State +3.5

No. 8 Oklahoma State @ No. 13 TCU (TCU -4)

I don’t think anyone predicted that both of these teams would be undefeated this far in the season, but this Big 12 matchup will prove thrilling.

Both of these schools score a lot of points, as both the Cowboys and Horned Frogs average 46.4 points per game, and they are tied for first in the conference.

First year head coach Sonny Dykes has been a hero for TCU this season, with a 38-31 win at previously unbeaten Kansas.

There will be no shortage of points, but TCU will be looking for its third win against a ranked opponent this year.

The pick: Oklahoma State +4

Bonus Picks:

No. 4 Clemson @ Florida State (Clem -3.5)

No. 7 USC @ 20 Utah (USC ML)

Old Dominion @ Coastal Carolina (CCU -11.5)

Auburn @ No. 9 Ole Miss (Miss - 15)
