NFL Betting: Week 5

The NFL has been off to a thrilling start to start the season. As we move into Week 4 of the NFL, we have more built up knowledge about what teams are competitors, and what teams are not.

For Week 4, let’s take a look at five matchups and make picks accordingly. The goal is to go 5-0.

Ravens vs. Broncos

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will be playing Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver Broncos this Sunday. The current line of the game is even.

This is a very odd line as the Ravens are clearly the better football team. The Broncos are 3-0 so far this year but the competition they have played has been a joke. They have beaten the 0-3 Jets, 0-3 Giants and the now 0-4 Jaguars.

This is a test if the Broncos are the real deal this season. They have not played enough of a respectable schedule to be considered real contenders as of yet.

The Pick: Ravens even

Browns vs. Vikings

The Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings will face off in Week 4. The current line of the game has the Browns -1.5.

The Browns have started to pick up the pace recently and really look like a team that can do damage in the AFC. The Vikings on the other hand are a question mark. Will Kirk Cousins be able to do enough to escape the Browns’ defensive front pressure?

Baker Mayfield has been stellar so far this season the Browns will win this game by a respectful amount.

The Pick: Browns -1.5

Giants vs. Saints

The New York Giants will be going into New Orleans to take on the Saints this Sunday. The current line of the game is Saints -7.5.

This game is a longshot pick. For some reason, the Giants seem like a good bet this week. They are a good football team that loses games. They have real talent at most positions; it is just finishing games on top that they lack the ability to do.

This week, they are more than a touchdown underdog. The Giants have a real chance of winning this game. Therefore, they will keep it close and the Giants plus the points is a lock, and they could even win this game outright.

But a golden rule of betting is if you are given points, try not to be greedy. Giants plus the 7.5 is the play.

The Pick: Giants +7.5

Cardinals vs. Rams

The Arizona Cardinals will be playing the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday. This is going to be a great game with two very competitive teams. The current line has the Rams -4.

The Rams have been dominant so far this season with new quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford is making an early MVP case for himself; he doesnt seem like he’s slowing down anytime soon. The Stafford to Cooper Kupp connection is as deadly as they come in the NFL, and the Rams will be coming for blood this Sunday.

The Pick: Rams -4

Raiders vs. Chargers

The Las Vegas Raiders will play the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night in a battle of the AFC West. The current line of the game has the Chargers -3.

Both of these teams have shown the football world that they mean business. The Raiders have shown up against good teams and so have the Chargers.

Justin Herbert had himself an epic Week 3 as he led his team to take down the dangerous Kansas City Chiefs. Herbert will ride this momentum into Monday and take down the Raiders. Due to the Raiders promise they’ve shown this season, stay away from the spread and take the moneyline.

The Pick: Chargers moneyline
