Story posted February 11, 2021 in CommRadio, Sports by Evan Popalis

The NHL season continues to rumble on despite multiple teams being out of commission due to the coronavirus pandemic. Four games that were originally scheduled for Thursday night have been postponed in regards to protocols set by the league.

Still, 10 games are set to be played Thursday as the season hits the quarter mark. This week focuses on multiple player props with greater odds to help make more money than ordinary spread and moneyline odds.

A North division battle between the Edmonton Oilers and the Montreal Canadiens will take place Thursday night. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were held scoreless in their last game in a 3-2 win against the Ottawa Senators.

This tandem has combined for 52 points in 15 games this season. This dynamic duo will be fired up to get back on the scoresheet. The top line for Edmonton will be on top of its game tonight.

Play: Leon Draisaitl over 1 point; Connor McDavid over 1.5 points

The Blackhawks are starting to show some life and come alive in the Central division. A familiar face is the play for this game. Patrick Kane has six assists and nine points in his last five games, as he has energized this resurgence from the Blackhawks.

Chicago faces an interesting Columbus squad that is having drama behind the scenes. Expect Kane to spread the wealth tonight and get an assist or two.

Play: Patrick Kane over 0.5 assists

Vancouver has had a streaky start to this season. There is one player it can fall back on, and that is Brock Boeser. Tied for second in the NHL with nine goals, Boeser continues to produce on a nightly basis as the Canucks try to dig themselves out of a low standings position.

The Canucks battle the Calgary Flames in a West division showdown. A big game for the Canucks will lead to their top goal scorer putting up numbers.

Play: Brock Boeser over 0.5 goals

The Vegas Golden Knights host the Anaheim Ducks, as Vegas continues its dominance since entering the league. At 8-1-1 on the season, the Golden Knights are led by Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone. Stone has the hot hand, as he has six assists in his previous five games.

Vegas is fourth in the NHL in goals scored per game with 3.70. Plus, Stone has had at least one assist in all three games against the Ducks this season.

Play: Mark Stone over 0.5 assists

Following new front office hires, the Pittsburgh Penguins will hit the ice for the first time. The 5-5-1 Pens head to Nassau Coliseum to face an Islanders squad that has started to pick up the pace.

Pittsburgh has only played four games in the last two weeks; the players know that management is watching as the top teams in the division continue to separate themselves.

Expect veteran players such as Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang to assert themselves tonight to push the Islanders to the limit.

Play: Pittsburgh +1.5
