Michael is currently a Penn State senior pursuing a major in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish. He is expecting to graduate in Spring 2014. He is also studying in Penn State’s John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. In addition, he is a recipient of the Paterno Scholarship by Larry and Ellen Foster. He is currently the director of sports broadcasting at THE LION 90.7 FM (WKPS) and has been a part of the staff there for the past three years. He has broadcast all types of Penn State sporting events including live broadcasts from Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center. He is also the host of the nightly sports talk show The Sports Blitz. In addition to his on air responsibilities, he attends press conferences and team events to supply the radio station with coverage. Upon graduating, Michael hopes to land a position that allows him to continue to explore the avenues of journalism and media. He hopes to find a position that allows him to use his fluency in Spanish in the workplace.
