Every year in central Pennsylvania, select people with disabilities are given very special four-legged partners to assist them in their daily lives.
The dogs could easily be household pets for any of us, but are chosen instead for a very important mission and career. These canine partners are the lifeline for people with disabilities.
Reporters Liz Derita, Katie Bassett, Carolyn Cohen and Lucy Ukwa take viewers to several central Pennsylvania locations where highly successful service dog training programs are making a big difference in the lives of those who receive the canine partners.
