UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State announced that graduation will take place in person this spring.

The commencement ceremonies will take place at Beaver Stadium, rain or shine, during the weekend of May 7. A detailed schedule of ceremonies can be found at www.commencement.psu.edu/schedule/.

Penn State will also host virtual graduation for those who wish to attend virtually. That ceremony will take place on May 9 at 6 p.m.

Graduates will be limited to two guests each and will be seated in pods of three people, which contains the graduate and its two guests. For those that are unable to attend, a live stream of the Beaver Stadium ceremony will be available.

While there will be enough space for all the graduates and their guests, tickets will still be required for the event. Seniors will receive more information about receiving their tickets later this month.

The school is also encouraging all graduating students to get COVID-19 testing prior to the ceremony. This request will be in addition to all local, state, and federal guidelines in effect at the time.

More information regarding graduation will be shared in the coming weeks and months.
