Keep Off The Grass

Video posted April 26, 2016 in News by Emily Winters

Julia Chorle is the school nurse at North Side Elementary School in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.  Julia’s days consist of organizing medical notecards, helping the diabetic children, and nursing sick students.

While during the day Julia is a nurse, at night she does something a bit different.  Three years ago Julia joined a bluegrass band called “Keep Off The Grass.”  At 60 years young, Julia performs with her brother and sister, and a family friend in the bluegrass band.  She doesn’t play an instrument, but Julia’s vocals and fun personality add a unique twist to their shows.
