Brooklyn handed Staten Island its third consecutive loss to start the season. The Cyclones took this one 7-2 behind a four RBI performance from Eudy Pina. The Cyclones are the league’s only undefeated team at 3-0 while the Yankees remain the only team still in search of win #1. They are 0-3.

Vermont beat Tri-City 7-4 despite a lead-off home run in the bottom of the ninth and a three-hit game from Tri-City’s Jobduan Morales. The ValleyCats (1-2) try to split the series as they take on the Lake Monsters (2-1) at home Thursday night.

Batavia tripled up Auburn 9-3 Wednesday night giving the Muckdogs their first win on the young season. The Muckdogs (1-2) look to make it two in a row and to split the series with the Doubledays (2-1) Thursday night at Falcon Park.

Mahoning Valley downed Jamestown 2-1 with a walk-off walk in the bottom of the 11th. Despite 10 hits from Jamestown and nine from Mahoning Valley, a combined three runs were scored as the game was tied 1-1 headed into extras. The Scrappers move to 2-1 with the win while the Jammers fall to 1-2.

Lowell used two three-hit performances from Dreily Guerrero and Kendrick Perkins while Seth Schwindenhammer drove in three runs to beat Connecticut 11-5. The win puts the Spinners in first place at 2-1 while the Tigers fall to 1-2.

Hudson Valley beat Aberdeen after scoring two runs in the top of the ninth to win 5-3. Joel Caminero came up big for the Renegades driving in four of their five runs. The win puts them at 2-1 while Aberdeen falls to 1-2.
