Dan McKenna created Hoop Stars after he left his job. Years later, McKenna has taught the game of basketball to many young children in Centre County, including kids with special needs. Zach Gershman has the story.

Zach Gershman is a Junior from the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, majoring in broadcast journalism. He is the host of his own YouTube channel ZachOnSports, where he interviews sports and media industry leaders including Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Costas, Fox Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi, the voice of the NHL Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, and many others. Zach is also a part-time producer at ESPN Radio 103.7 and 1450 AM in State College, Pennsylvania. At Penn State, he is a production assistant for Penn State Athletics, a producer of Penn State Sports Night, director of marketing for the Penn State Sports Business Conference, and a news anchor for PSN News.
