UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State football has played six games over the past seven weeks. The weekend of Oct. 16 will be their first break.

At the beginning of the season, Penn State was ranked No. 19 in the AP Top-25 Poll. By Week 5, the Nittany Lions crawled up to No. 4 with four wins and zero losses.

However, by Week 7, Penn State dropped to No. 7 due to the loss to Iowa.

Sean Clifford, Penn State’s starting quarterback, got injured in the game. The injury is still unknown. Reflecting on these seven weeks, fans are also the players.

Cade Miller, a second-year majoring in telecommunications, had some thoughts about the football team and what it is like to watch his classmates play on the field in person again.

“Penn State is doing great. It is such a huge turnaround from 0-5 last year. It clearly shows that the fans at Penn State are a player on the football team. The atmosphere brings up our players and our team,” Miller said.

“That really showed when we were away, playing a hard game. I thought we could have won, unfortunately we did not. We lost Sean Clifford, which was bad,” Miller said.

“When I went to the Blue and White game (Spring Practice game for first-years in Spring 2021), there was a huge difference. Beaver Stadium was not full, it was empty,” Miller said. “We are going to be great.”

Penn State’s next football game is scheduled for Oct. 23 against Illinois at noon back at Beaver Stadium.
