ComRadio's NFL Draft staff has a sit down interview with former Penn State linebacker Mike Hull, ranks the top-five coaches in the NFL today and does picks nine through 16 in Jeff Jezewski's Mock Draft on the sixth episode of the ComRadio NFL Draft Show.

Mike Esse is a senior from Grosse Pointe, Mich., majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in business. He is a reporter for the Centre County report with a primary focus in sports. Additionally, he serves as the Student General Manager for ComRadio as well as being a producer, talk show personality and play-by-play voice.

Mike also is a staff writer for gopsusports.com where he covers Penn State women’s basketball and baseball and works for Penn State Athletics in video production. He has completed internships with MLB Advanced Media in Summer 2014 and Westwood One Sports in summer 2013.

I am a Sports Director at ComRadio. During my time at ComRadio I have done numerous play-by-plays, interviews and talk shows. I host my own talk show Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 1 to 2 pm. I also have served as both an executive producer and producer for the station, in addition to writing numerous articles for the website.


Aside from being a member of ComRadio, I am also a member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism here at Penn State and a broadcaster for Big Ten Network Student U.


My goal is to become a sports talk show radio host in New York City in addition to pursuing other opportunities.

Ryan is a senior from Bloomington, Illinois majoring in broadcast journalism with a minor in english.  He has been involved with numerous radio shows, play-by-plays, beat writes and producing various Penn State athletics events since his first days of being on campus in the fall of 2012 with ComRadio. Since the fall of 2013, Ryan has been involved with State College’s ESPN Radio 1450 as an assistant producer intern and high school football reporter.

During the summer of 2014, Ryan co-hosted Sports Central with Cory Giger streaming over Altoona, Pa. and State College Pa. markets. Ryan also assisted USA Basketball media coverage in New York for World Cup of Basketball exhibition games.

Ryan was the marketing & communications intern for USA Track & Field at the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the media contact for the 2015 USATF Hershey Youth Outdoor Championships as well as the 2015 National Junior Olympics.

Tyler Zulli is a Senior from Bensalem, Pennsylvania majoring in broadcast journalism. In his four years as a member of ComRadio, Tyler has established himself as a key contributor at the station in many facets. As a broadcaster, Tyler has called games for Penn State in a wide variety of sports, including football, baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s hockey, basketball, soccer and volleyball. He’s also had the ability to call games at the professional level for the State Colleg Spikes, the Short Season A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. Tyler is also a contributor to ComRadio’s original NFL Draft Show, in both the radio and television aspect of the show. He’s been the producer for the radio portion of the show for the past two years. Along with these, Tyler has hosted or co-hosted a variety of talk shows throughout his time at ComRadio. Currently, he is the co-host of two shows, known as Philly Sports Talk and Philly’s Finest. Tyler is also the host of his own solo show, The Tyler Zulli Show. Upon graduation, Tyler hopes to take his skills achieved through ComRadio into the professional world as a play-by-play announcer.

Ryan is Junior from Alexandria, Va., pursuing a double major in broadcast journalism and political science with a business minor. This past summer Ryan worked at the Federal Communications Commission. Ryan has developed a love of sports, politics and current events. Ryan’s involvement with ComRadio began his freshman year co-hosting a talk show. Now, Ryan has his own talk show “The Ryan McManus Show” where he talks about a range of topics from sports to politics. He is currently the Social Media Director at ComRadio controlling all social media platforms of the station.

Ryan Hickey is a senior broadcast journalism major and business minor hailing from Long Island, New York. He is an assistant editor for ComRadio. He also contributes through hosting two radio shows, producing and calling play-by-plays. Jeff Jezewski is a senior from Nanticoke, PA, aspiring to work professionally in the sports industry. Jeff is currently a production director for ComRadio while also serving as a play-by-play broadcaster and a producer.

In the summer of 2014, Jeff interned with Westwood One in New York City. Jeff served as a live event production intern in his time with the company. In the fall of 2014, he served as an intern for ESPN 1450 in State College.

In the summer of 2015, Jeff acted as a media relations intern for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Maddie Brightman is the General Manger of ComRadio and a reporter and producer for the Centre County Report. A member of the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism, Maddie was recently a part of reporting trips to Cuba and Super Bowl 50. At ComRadio, she also serves as a producer for multiple Penn State sports has done play by play for Penn State football, baseball and lacrosse.

Maddie has interned at ESPN, Fox Sports Radio (Los Angeles), WBAL-TV (Baltimore) and 105.7 the Fan (Baltimore). Jack Milewski is a sophomore majoring in broadcast journalism. He is a member of com radio’s sports team and helps to produce broadcasts as well as announcing multiple sporting events. He also produces written content and podcasts for the website. To go along with his involvement in com radio, Jack is also an intern at gopsusports.com. He covers the women’s hockey team and produces written content for the website. Jack is also the voice of Penn State Women’s Volleyball and travels with the team to cover all of their matches. Jack hopes to become a play-by-play man for a big market hockey team in the future.
