Lion Ambassadors Host Senior Sendoff
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa- Today was the last day of the spring semester and the last day of classes for the graduating class of 2019. The Lion Ambassadors hosted a senior sendoff carnival at the Hintz Family Alumni center this afternoon and the rain couldn’t put a damper on things.
The carnival featured an ice cream bar with none other than Penn State’s own Berkey Creamery ice cream, there was also hot dogs, nachos and churros. As part of the sendoff, there were numerous booths set up to give graduating seniors alumni networking resources and another opportunity to order a class ring. There was also a photobooth and an artist who could draw caricatures. There was even a customizable sign and license plate station. A live band was playing outside and there were a couple cornhole stations as well as carnival style game booths.
Katie Burns, an education major and graduating senior, enjoyed the carnival and the alumni resources while taking a look back on her years as a Penn State student.
“I’ve absolutely loved my experience for the past 4 years here," Burns said. "I think this event is really cool and just a great way to wrap up senior year and get involved in the alumni association because they are such a big help."
The senior sendoff was a great opportunity for the seniors and their friends to eat food, play games, listen to music and get some freebies to show the pride of being a PSU alumni.
